Bush sticks to stand on Confederate flag

Texas Gov. George W. Bush stuck to his stance on South Carolinians making up their own minds on the Confederate battle flag Thursday, the day after an about-face by former primary rival John McCain. The Arizona senator, who took a position similar to that of Bush during his campaign, reversed field and said the flag should come down from atop the South Carolina Statehouse.
