Senators criticize Gore on Social Security

A trio of prominent senators — Democrats Bob Kerrey and Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Republican John McCain — criticized Democratic presidential contender Al Gore Thursday for dismissing the possible use of private retirement accounts to supplement Social Security. Gore has denounced his GOP rival George W. Bush for endorsing the idea, which he calls “risky.”
